From the bride:
“Russell and I wanted our wedding day to be an expression of our love for one another and our love for family and friends. It was important for us both to create a day that was a reflection of our style and the venue we found set the stage for just what we had in mind. Fair Weather Farm is a rustic, outdoor setting on a small lake with a beautifully designed lodge, a grand old oak tree and a screened pavilion (just in case it rained). We chose to have the ceremony and the reception outside so our guests could enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Lanterns and simple, seasonal flowers, quilts for lounging, lawn games, and lights strung around the dance floor created a magical backdrop. Layer on top delicious food from Dennis Dean Catering, a photo booth with goofy props, the musical talents of the Dappled Grays (an Atlanta bluegrass band), and a sweet send off in Russell’s brother’s 1967 Mercury Monterey Convertible and we had our perfect wedding. We focused on the little details with the help of family and friends; printed directional signs to match our invitations, wedding programs that doubled as fans listed family by there real names and their nicknames, goofy jokes from good friends were displayed on the tables along with the history of Fair Weather Farm lodge and property and our favorite flavors of cupcakes from Atlanta Cupcake Factory accompanied delicious pies for desert. For sweet wedding favors my mom, best friend and I attached “spread the love” labels and mini wooden knives stamped with our initials to jars of strawberry jam made by Rise n’ Dine (in Emory Village). On our wedding day, the natural surroundings, the details and our vendors came together beautifully to help us celebrate what was most important about the day; sharing our love for one another with our family and friends.”
