Love Sails in Santa Barbara
The legendary Channel Cat, an 85-foot, 107-ton, luxury sailing catamaran and Santa Barbara harbor icon since 1999 offered the perfect location for our “Love Sails in Santa Barbara” styled photo shoot. Owned by Charlie Munger, Berkshire Hathaway vice chairman and part-time Santa Barbara resident, “The Cat” is the stuff of fantasy.
With such an amazing ship, I had only one event and floral designer in mind, Joni Papay of Santa Barbara Style. Joni’s style is lush, textured and precise. I knew she would capture perfectly the nuances I hoped to evoke, nostalgia, glamour and a casual elegance that is distinctly Santa Barbara. Add to the cast brilliant Santa Ynez photographer Linda Chaja, our beautiful model and wedding planner Kaitlin Lopez of La Fete Weddings, vintage Miriam Haskell jewelry and a stunning custom veil from Mercedes Trump of Beautiful and we were sailing!
Excited to share these photos, yes, we laughed the whole afternoon. We are a very close event family here in santa Barbara, I think you can see in these photos the joy and fun spirit we channel to bring the beauty and memories we help to create for our clients. So grateful after ten years as a Wedding Planner and Event Designer to still be doing what I love in such a fantastic city.
